Pain relief is something we all deal with as humans and especially as athletes.

I started becoming more ‘acquainted’ with pain so to speak when I started training heavy in martial arts. It seemed like when I really started to kick my training into high gear at the time, if it wasn’t one injury it was another. I actually had a saying back then – ‘if it isn’t one thing it’s another’. It was like I was never completely pain and injury free.

This was a big change from when I was a kid playing sports in high school, if I ever got hurt back then I just played through it. Of course, I also healed quicker back then since I was so young.

So later on, when I started looking into what was available on the market for pain relief, I knew I wanted something that was safe and natural.  I wasn’t and still am not big on popping pain pills of any kind, even aspirin. I know the side effects of such things and the fact that you can build up a tolerance and possible addiction was always enough to deter me from going that route. So using safe and natural products with no side-effects were always and still are the only option I will ever give myself.

As I did more and more research into what kinds of natural ingredients and herbs could help me to speed up my recovery from the bumps, bruises and strains of hard training, I quickly became pretty knowledgeable about what works and what doesn’t. I remember the first pain relieving topical ointment I ever purchased was Arnica gel, which I also picked up some for my judo partner at the time as she always bruised much worse than me.

It’s not surprising that it turns out that many of the natural ingredients I used individually for topical pain relief I ended up using as part of the formulation of our Warrior Rx Muscle and Joint Pain Relief product.

Since I had a history of using different types of natural herbs and ingredients for pain relief, I ended up putting a good number of these that I already had used in our new product. The ingredients in our Warrior Rx Muscle and Joint Pain Relief topical rub are: Arnica Oil, Calendula Oil, Cayenne Pepper, DMSO, Emu Oil, Ginger, Limonene Oil, Menthol, MSM, Olive Oil, St. Johns Wort Oil & Wintergreen.

It’s a high powered, proprietary blend of ingredients that goes way beyond what most pain relief products contain in theirs from what I have seen on the market. If you would like some more detail on some of these ingredients, I go into it in more detail on our wellness blog here.

So if you are looking to relieve pain for a variety of sports related injuries like I am, whether that be knee joint pain, pulled and sore muscles, bruises or tennis elbow, Warrior Rx can work great for you. We’ve also gotten a lot of great feedback from our customers suffering from a host of non-sports related problems such as carpal tunnel, gout, fibromyalgia and even arthritis… so you don’t have to be an athlete for it to work for you!
